2027: Ex-Bauchi Governor M.A. Abubakar Picks APC Nomination Form

One of the leading contenders in the 2027 Bauchi State governorship race, former governor Muhammed Abdullahi Abubakar (SAN), is scheduled to visit the All-Progressives Congress National Secretariat in Abuja by 11:00 a.m. today to purchase the party’s N50 million nomination form.

In a press statement made available to journalists in Abuja, the gubernatorial aspirant said his decision to join the race is driven by a desire to complete several development initiatives he began during his administration, which he said could have transformed the economic fortunes of Bauchi State.

“Some of those initiatives are still on the drawing board, while a few were executed by my successor. During my first tenure, I signed several Memoranda of Understanding with various investors in the interest of the state, many of which are yet to be actualised,” he said.
