Just in: Atiku finally unveils Okowa as running mate
The People’s Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar has unveiled Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State as his running mate.
Okowa was unveiled as Atiku’s running mate at the PDP headquarters in Abuja on Thursday.
He along with Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State were initially shortlisted down for the position of Atiku’s running mate.
Speaking during the unveiling, the former Vice President said his running mate must be able to speak his mind freely.
Atiku said Okowa must be ready to work with him at all times.
He said the decision of his “running mate was a difficult decision, but I’m not afraid to take such decisions.”
