APC Primaries: Wase Calls for Restraint
By Umar Usman Duguri
Member representing Wase federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Ahmed Idris Wase, has appealed to his supporters to exercise restraint throughout the ongoing All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election.
Speaking to our representative on phone, Wase posited that it has become necessary to hold the primary election to restore confidence in the political system and for the growth of the democracy, saying;
“As members of the same APC family, there is no need for any rancour and brinkmanship during the election,” he said.
“We should put it at the bottom of our minds that we are to face a hostile opposition that is determined to give our party a good fight in the 2027 general elections
“We should bury our imaginary differences and embrace each other as comrades prepared for 2027 landslide victory than fighting each other to fly the flag of our great party in the coming elections.”
“As a contestant in the primary election, I believe in the strength of my fellow contestants, I expect them to equally caution their supporters against overheating the polity unnecessarily in the interest of peace, togetherness and the good of our party.”
