Adaji Dedicated His Life, Career to Pursuit of Truth, Justice, Ethical Journalism -Taraba Govt.

As tributes continue to pour in following the demise of veteran jpurnalist,  Ben Adaji, Taraba State Government has stated that the deceased dedicated his life and career to the pursuit of truth, justice and ethical journalism.

The government in a statement signed by the  Commissioner for Information and Re-orientatio, Barrister Zainab Usman and made available to Journalists in Jalingo on Tuesday, èxpressed sadness over the passing unto glory of Chief Adaji. 

The statement noted that the government and the good people of the state grieved this monumental loss.

“Taraba state Government extends its heartfelt condolences to the immediate family of Adaji, the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), the media community, the Government and people of Kogi State, and the entire Igala Nation” the statement said. 

The state highlighted that Chief Ben Adaji was widely respected for his courage, and unflinching dedication to the highest standards of the journalism profession.

“Throughout his illustrious career, he remained a strong voice for accountability, professionalism, and responsible reporting, earning the admiration of colleagues, public officials, and communities across the country. 

His life exemplified dedication to press freedom, accountability, and the use of journalism as a tool for societal transformation, cultural preservation, and community development. 

The memories of his principled stand during military eras and democratic struggles will remain evergreen in the hearts of all who value truth and justice” the statement maintained. 

According to the state, the Government and people of Taraba State recognized Chief Adaji as one of Nigeria’s finest media practitioners whose legacy transcends the newsroom. 

The statement stressed that his mentorship of younger journalists, dedication to public service, and steadfast commitment to truth have left a lasting impact that will continue to inspire generations.

The statement added that the people of Taraba state prayed that Almighty God grants his soul eternal rest and gives his family, friends, and associates the strength to bear this irreparable loss.
