Group Endorses Jamilu Kalshingi For House Of Reps For Kwami/Funakaye

A political group, Gombe State PDP Unity Forum, has thrown its weight behind the state party youth leader, Honourable Jamilu Ali Kalshingi to contest for the Federal House of Representatives representing, Gombe/Kwami/Funakaye Federal Constituency in the 2027 general elections.

The group described him as the “rightful personality” to deliver sound representation to the constituency.

The endorsement was contained in a press release issued on Wednesday by the Secretary of the Forum, Ali Ahmed, amid what the group called an “intense political atmosphere” and a “dire need of sound representation from State to National Assembly.”

According to Ahmed, the Forum within the PDP in Gombe State searched for a candidate with proven contribution to the party and popularity across Gombe to fill the gap in the Gombe/Kwami/Funakaye federal constituency of Gombe North senatorial district.

“In addition, the Party PDP youth leader of the state, Hon. Jamilu Ali Kalshingi, is capable of representing the good people of the constituency with quality and sound representation in the 11th Assembly of the Parliament 2027,” Ahmed stated in the release.

The Forum said youths can make good lawmakers because of their intellects and productivity, urging the PDP leadership in Gombe State to nominate Kalshingi, describing him as an “able and energetic personality” for the task of promoting the constituency and uplifting the socio-economic wellbeing of constituents.

“We are calling on the party leadership in Gombe State to nominate this able and energetic personality for the task of promoting the constituency and uplifting the socio-economic wellbeing of the constituents through programmes of youths and women empowerments and community development initiatives which has been the setback experienced over decade due to poor representation,” the statement reads.

Ahmed added that the Forum is determined to promote the cause to ensure the PDP wins the upcoming elections.

“We are determined to promote this cause and make our great party PDP win the upcoming elections,” he said.
