15 Missing as Bandits Open Fire On Taraba Bound Commercial Bus

No fewer than 15 persons, including women and children, are reported missing after an 18-seater bus carrying passengers from Zaki/Biam in Benue State to Maihura in the Bali Local Government Area of Taraba State was ambushed by armed men who appeared to be vigilante personnel on Tuesday.
The incident reportedly took place at Gankwe village, which is situated in the state’s Donga Local Government Area along the Donga-Mararaban-Baissa road.
The bus driver, Mr. Mpuuga Mbaave, who barely survived a machete-related cut wound, informed reporters over the phone that armed individuals dressed as vigilantes attacked his vehicle
“I transported 18 passengers from Zaki/Biam in Benue State to Maihura in Taraba State, and as we approached Mararaba, I noticed numerous individuals in Vigilante uniforms. I suspected something was awry, so I parked the car.
“One of the locals who was passing by advised me to proceed. According to him, kidnappers killed two Vigilante personnel, and the vigilante arrived to carry their bodies
