The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has concluded its senatorial primary elections in Bauchi State, producing candidates for the three senatorial districts ahead of the 2027 General Elections.
Announcing the results on behalf of the Senatorial Primary Election Committee, Alhaji Ali Ibrahim said the exercise was conducted on May 20, 2026, in line with the constitution and electoral guidelines of the party.
According to him, the aspirants were screened and cleared by the National Working Committee (NWC) of the PDP before being presented to delegates and party members for affirmation and direct primaries where necessary.
For Bauchi South Senatorial District, Dabo Danjuma Adamu emerged as the party’s candidate through affirmation.
In Bauchi North Senatorial District, two aspirants contested in a direct primary election. Abdulkadir Adamu polled 137 votes to defeat Maula Adamu Aliyu, who scored no vote, thereby emerging as the duly nominated candidate of the party.
Similarly, Bello Ibrahim emerged as the PDP candidate for Bauchi Central Senatorial District through affirmation.
Ali Ibrahim congratulated the successful candidates and wished them victory in the forthcoming 2027 General Elections.
He also expressed appreciation to the National Working Committee of the PDP for the opportunity given to him and other committee members to serve in the national assignment.
