Thousands Rally Behind Senator Shehu Buba for Bauchi Governorship 2027

Thousands of supporters of Senator Shehu Buba on Saturday stormed the All Progressives Congress (APC) Secretariat in Bauchi on Saturday to endorse him as their preferred candidate for governor of the state in 2027.

The supporters, who came under the umbrella of the Shehu Buba Organisation (SBO), were drawn from the seven local government areas that make up Bauchi South Senatorial District. They described Senator Buba as the most qualified person to succeed Governor Bala Mohammed.and urged him to throw his cap on the race

SBO Chairman Ibrahim Baba Says Thousands of their supporters want Buba to run in 2027

Adressing the mammoth crowd, Chairman of the SBO, Alhaji Ibrahim Baba, said their gathering was not a campaign but a demonstration of collective resolve.

“We are here today not to campaign, but to show the world that Senator Buba is the best man for governor of Bauchi State come 2027. His supporters from Bauchi South have spoken with one voice,” he said.

He thanked the people for their show of love and urged the APC leadership in Bauchi to provide a level playing ground for aspirants as the party heads into primaries.

Also speaking, a leading member of the SBO, Comrade Sabo Mohammed, described Senator Buba as “a force sweeping across the politics of Bauchi State.”

According to him, Senator Buba’s support base cuts across all the three senatorial zones of the state, making him the only formidable APC candidate capable of defeating the ruling PDP.

“Having lost to the PDP on two occasions, we are working hard as a party to ensure we present a suitable candidate, and Senator Buba is the right man for the job,” Sabo stated.

Receiving the SBO delegation, APC Chairman in the state, Alhaji Muhammed Tilde, thanked them for their solidarity and assured that the party would ensure fairness in the selection of candidates ahead of the 2026 delegates’ election.
