APC Primaries: Bala Wunti Demands Level Playing Ground in Bauchi Governorship Race

A formidable governorship aspirant of the All-Progressives Congress (APC) in Bauchi State, Dr. Bala Maijama’a Wunti, has called on the party to ensure a level playing ground in the governorship primaries scheduled for tomorrow (Thursday).

Wunti made the call through the Chairman of the Wunti Support Group (WSG), Comrade Muktar Jarmajo, during a press conference held at the NUJ in Bauchi Secretariat on Wednesday.

He urged the party’s electoral officials and leadership to ensure a transparent, credible, free, and fair process that reflects the genuine will and aspirations of party members and delegates.

The former Chief Upstream Investment Officer of NNPCL Upstream Investment Services maintained that he is the most qualified among the aspirants to secure the APC ticket.

Wunti expressed confidence in the leadership of President Bola Tinubu, the APC National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda Goshwe, and the state chairman, Alhaji Muhammad Hassan Tilde, to ensure decorum during the exercise.

“The primary election, therefore, remains one of the most critical stages in the democratic process because it is the platform through which members decide who carries the hope, vision, and mandate of the party into the main election,” he stated.

Wunti also expressed optimism in his competence and proven capacity to provide the right leadership for the people of the state if elected as the party’s flagbearer.

The aspirant appealed to all card-carrying APC members across the 20 local government areas of the state to come out and vote for Dr. Bala Wunti to represent the party in the general election.

He also urged his teeming supporters to come out massively, participate peacefully in the democratic process, and conduct themselves responsibly.

He further called on party faithful to unite the party and the state through lawful engagement and disciplined political conduct.
