PDP Rep Primaries: Bage Wins as Party Announces Results for 12 federal Constituencies in Bauchi State

Former lawmaker who represented Dass Constituency in the Bauchi State House of Assembly, Maryam Garba Bagel, has emerged as the winner of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) primary election for the Dass/Tafawa Balewa/Bogoro Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives.
Chairman of the House of Representatives Primary Election Committee for Bauchi State, Alhaji Ali Ibrahim, announced the results for 12 constituencies iin the party’s Rep primary elections conducted through affirmation on May 17, 2026, across the various federal constituencies in the state.
Ibrahim, who was duly appointed by the National Working Committee (NWC) of the PDP, said the announcement followed the screening and clearance of aspirants by the party’s National Working Committee.
“The duly cleared aspirants were presented to delegates and party members for affirmation in accordance with the Constitution of the Party and the Electoral Guidelines, 2026,” he said.
“At the conclusion of the affirmation exercise, the delegates unanimously affirmed the following candidates as the duly nominated candidates of the party for the respective House of Representatives seats in the forthcoming 2027 General Elections.”
The candidates are:
Khalid Barau Ningi – Ningi/Warji Federal Constituency
Zahradeen Aminu Abubakar – Shira/Giade Federal Constituency
Hussaini A. Umar – Toro Federal Constituency
Abubakar Usman – Ganjuwa/Darazo Federal Constituency
Idris Yusuf Duguri – Alkaleri/Kirfi Federal Constituency
Abdullahi Musa Tela – Zaki Federal Constituency
Shehu Yakubu – Jama’are/Itas-Gadau Federal Constituency
Ahmad Muhammad Dambam – Misau/Dambam Federal Constituency
Muhammad Garba Dogo – Katagum Federal Constituency
Isah Mohammed Wabu – Gamawa Federal Constituency
Maryam Garba Bagel – Dass/Tafawa Balewa/Bogoro Federal Constituency
Aliyu Abdullahi – Bauchi Federal Constituency.
He congratulated all the successful candidates and wished them the best in the forthcoming 2027 General Elections.
He also thanked the PDP for the opportunity given to him and other members of the committee to serve in the exercise.
