Rector Fedpoly Bauchi Felicitates With Education Minister on Eid-el-Fitr, Commends Reforms

The Rector of the Polytechnic, Alhaji Sani Usman, has extended warm Eid-el-Fitr greetings to the Minister of Education, Dr. Maruf Tunji Alausa.

In a a goodwill message, the Rector congratulated the Minister on the successful completion of the 30-day Ramadan fast and other spiritual activities observed during the holy month.
He prayed that Almighty Allah grants him his heart’s desires and continued wisdom in leadership.

According to the Rector, polytechnics across the country have benefited significantly from the Minister’s leadership style, vision, and administrative acumen.
He added that the Minister remains one of the most effective members of the cabinet of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
He noted that under the Minister’s leadership, there has been increased funding support and renewed attention to technical and vocational education, which has strengthened the relevance of polytechnics in national development.
He further observed that ongoing efforts to bridge the gap between university and polytechnic graduates, particularly in terms of career placement and recognition have boosted the morale of students and graduates within the polytechnic system.
The Rector also pointed out that the strengthening of the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) has improved accreditation processes and academic standards, while the expansion of skills acquisition and entrepreneurship programmes has better equipped students with practical competencies for the labour market.
He added that improved infrastructure development initiatives in federal tertiary institutions have also enhanced the learning environment in many polytechnics.
Alhaji Sani Usman further commended the Minister for his role in addressing long-standing industrial disputes in Nigerian universities.
He noted that the approval of salary adjustments and improved welfare packages for lecturers contributed to ending prolonged strikes by the Academic Staff Union of Universities, thereby stabilizing the academic calendar.
The Rector reaffirmed the Polytechnic’s support for the Minister’s reforms and expressed optimism that the education sector would continue to witness sustainable growth under his leadership.
