The Special Adviser to the Bauchi State Governor on Media and Publicity, Mukhtar Muhammad Gidado, has presented Android smartphones to selected journalists and social media practitioners to support their work and promote professionalism in the media sector.

The presentation ceremony took place on Friday at the Government House Bauchi, where six beneficiaries received the devices.

Those who benefited from the gesture include three members of the Correspondents’ Chapel, two social media practitioners, and a staff member from the Government House media team.

Speaking during the event, Gidado said the distribution is part of a monthly support initiative introduced by his office to assist media personnel and staff working closely with the Government House.

He explained that the programme is designed to motivate journalists and enhance their ability to carry out their professional duties effectively.

“This initiative reflects our commitment to supporting individuals within the media space who play a vital role in ensuring the public receives accurate and timely information,” he stated.

The governor’s media aide also expressed gratitude to the Bauchi State Governor, Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, for his continued support for journalists and the media community in the state.

He further commended media practitioners for their contribution to promoting government programmes and policies aimed at informing and educating the public.

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Malam Nasiru and Malama Sumayya Abubakar appreciated the gesture and prayed for Allah’s guidance, protection, and success for the administration of Governor Bala Mohammed.

The beneficiaries described the support as a motivation that would further strengthen their work in disseminating information to the public.
