Dogara Appeals To President Tinubu To Renew Oil Exploration In Bauchi

Former Speaker of the House of the House of Representatives., Yakubu Dogara, has urged President Bola Tinubu to revisit oil drilling in Komani Oil Well in Bauchi/Gombe States.
Dogara made the appeal while speaking at the commissioning of the 2.5 kilometres township road project in Zaranda town of Toro Local Government Area of Bauchi State executed by the Senator representing Bauchi South Senatorial District, Shehu Buba Umar on Saturday.
The former Speaker also called for the construction of the Bagel dam in Dass which he believed would open up the area, create sources of employment for the population and increase revenue generation opportunities.
He explained that the two projects were vital to the growth and development of the state and the country at large.
”If done, the Bagel multipurpose Dam will generate electricity power for all the LGAs in Bauchi South Senatorial District and will lead to economic activities and development in the area,” he said
On the oil exploration, Dogara believed that if the Bauchí joins the oil producing states of the country, there would be more revenue allocation through derivation while more revenue generation sources will be opened.
He said once these two projects are executed the president did not need to come to Bauchi to campaign come 2027 as the people will gladly vote for him.
Dogara stressed that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), though in opposition in the State is not dead stressing that those having such notion are only deceiving themselves.
“APC is still alive in Bauchi State, when the time comes, they will realize their mistakes, we will storm the State and take it over.
“This is not yet time for politicking so, no much talking today,” he said.
Speaking earlier, Senator Buba explained that the road project was a fulfilment of his electioneering campaigns romise ahead of the 2023 polls.
The Bauchí South Senator assured his people that more democratic dividends were underway for the electorate.
The federal lawmaker explained that he would soon embark on commissioning of some projects he executed and flag off others for the benefits of his people.
“You will recall that during my electioneering campaigns at the time of aspiring to become your senator in 2023, I pledged to relentlessly pursue meaningful and life changing projects,” Senator Buba said.
He reiterated his promise to provide basic amenities to the common good of his constituents.
Earlier. , the Chairman of the APC in Bauchi State, Alhaji Muhammad Tilde, described the road project constricted by the senator as a testament of his transformative leadership.
Tilde described the senator’s efforts as worthy of emulation and urged party members to remain united and loyal for the sustainability and progress of the APC.
