From Paul Orude Bauchi
The First Lady of Bauchi State, Hajiya Aishatu Bala Muhammad, has been bestowed with the prestigious Ambassador of Hope Alive Initiatives Award for her remarkable contributions to philanthropic and humanitarian services.
The honour was presented to the Bauchi State First Lady by Her Majesty, Mrs. Temitope Adesegun, wife of the Ooni of Ife, during a special event in Bauchi.
The ceremony was part of Hope Alive Initiatives’ ninth Annual Valentine’s Day outreach, which focuses on celebrating and supporting children, especially those born in February.
Presenting the award on behalf of the Ooni of Ife to Hajia Aisha Mohammed, Mrs. Adesegun acknowledged the First Lady’s unwavering commitment to social welfare.
“Her efforts in transforming lives and creating opportunities for the vulnerable have set an admirable standard,” she stated.
The wife of the Ooni of Ife also commended Governor Bala Mohammed, describing him as a leader whose policies prioritize the well-being of the people.
“Bauchi State stands out because of this leadership’s dedication to the less privileged,” she said.
“The First Lady’s impactful work speaks for itself, and this recognition is well deserved.”
Mrs. Adesegun further revealed that Bauchi, Lagos, and Osun were the three states chosen for this year’s simultaneous outreach.
She emphasised that the Hope Alive Initiatives carefully reviewed each recipient’s impact before making its selection.
While receiving the award, Hajiya Aishatu Bala Mohammad expressed her appreciation for the recognition.
The Bauchi State First Lady thanked the Hope Alive Initiatives for selecting Bauchi as one of the host states for this year’s outreach program.
The award presentation ceremony was attended by government officials, dignitaries, community leaders and other well-wishers.
It highlighted the shared commitment of the Almuhibbah Foundation—led by the First Lady—and the Hope Alive Initiatives in championing child welfare and supporting vulnerable communities.
This award reinforces Hajiya Mohammad’s influence as a force for positive change, further solidifying her reputation as a dedicated humanitarian and advocate for the underprivileged.
