The Wunti Al-Khair Foundation has organised a two-day workshop for members of Islamic aid groups in Bauchi State, aiming to ensure safer Sallah celebrations in 2026.

The training held at the conference hall of Bauchi central mosque was attended by 130 participants.

Representatives of the foundation, including Legal Advisor Barr Umar Magaji and Volunteer Media Assistant Isiyaka Ismail Wunti, stated that the training covered traffic control, first aid, and rescue operations.

They added that the training was part of the foundation’s community service efforts during Sallah festivals.

National Director of Jama’atul Nasril Islam (JNI), Bala Ibrahim Sani, praised the foundation for the initiative, saying it would help mitigate accidents and ensure timely rescue of victims.

“This training will go a long way in helping us mitigate accidents and ensure rescue of victims during the Sallah celebrations,” Sani said.

Habibu Adamu Jumba, representing the Bauchi emirate, expressed gratitude and noted that the trainees would support security agencies in maintaining peace during the festivals.
