ZLP Announces Expression, Nomination fees for 2027, Emphasizes Free Nomination for Youths, Women, PWDs

Leadership of the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP), has announced fees for expression of interest and nomination for the 2027 General Elections emphasizing that it is free Nomination forms for Youths, Women and people with disabilities.

This was contained in a statement signed by Hon. Khalid Arewa, National Publicity Secretary, made available to Journalists on Thursday.

He stated that, “In the just concluded National Executive Council (NEC) meeting of the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP), held on the 22nd of April, 2026 at the party Secretariat in Abuja, the NEC in session approved the Expression of Interest and Nomination fees for the various positions to be contested for in the forthcoming 2027 general elections.

According to him, for State Assembly, the fee is N500,000 made up of N100,000 expression and N400,000 nomination while for House of Representatives, the sum of N1m comprising N200,000 expression and N800,000 nomination is expected to be paid.

Also, for Senate, a total sum of N2.5m made up of N500,000 expression and N2m nomination is expected to be paid while for Governor, a total sum of N12m comprising N2m expression and N10m nomination is to be paid to the party.

Meanwhile, he stated that no amount has been fixed for the presidency yet while it is free Nomination forms for Youths below 30 years, Women and people with disabilities as they are to pay only Expression of interest forms depending on the office aspiring for.

Khalid Arewa stated that, “For aspirants seeking to contest for any position in the forthcoming
general elections under the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) Platform, you can only do so if your name is in the E-register of the ZLP.”

According to him, “This is in
compliance with the provisions of the new electoral Act. If your name is not in the E-register of the ZLP, you can neither vote nor be voted for in the primaries that will produce the candidates.”

He further stated that, “It is also expedient that your supporters in your Constituency are registered in the ZLP E-register to enhance your chances.”
