The Bauchi State Government has presented letters of appointment to the newly appointed Emirs of the newly created Emirates of Bununu, Toro, and Lame.
The development marked another milestone in the Swn. Bala Mohammed administration’s effort to strengthen traditional institutions and deepen grassroots development across the state.
Presenting the letters on behalf of Governor Bala Mohammed, the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Aminu Hammayo, charged the new Emirs to lead with fairness, inclusivity, and respect for the rule of law.
Hammayo explained that the creation of additional emirates was part of the state government’s strategy to promote unity, security, and economic growth in rural communities.
In Bununu, the SSG presented the appointment letter to Alhaji Jibrin D. Hassan, the new Emir of Bununu.
The Bauchi SSG urged the new Emir to carry all ethnic and religious groups along in his administration to sustain peace and harmony in the area.
Responding, Emir Jibrin D. Hassan expressed profound appreciation to Governor Bala Mohammed for the honour.
Hassan pledged to justify the confidence reposed in him and to work tirelessly for the development of his people.
Similarly, Alhaji Adamu Umar Toro received his appointment letter as the Emir of the newly created Toro Emirate.

In his remarks, Emir Adamu Umar Toro thanked Governor Bala Mohammed for the recognition and prayed for divine wisdom to discharge his duties diligently and justly.
Also, in Lame, the letter of appointment was presented to Alhaji Aliyu Yakubu Lame as the Emir of Lame. The SSG congratulated him and urged him to use his position to foster peaceful coexistence, encourage education, and drive development in his domain.
