Just In: Councillors Sack Local Government Chairman in Bauchi State

In a new development in tandem with Local Government autonomy, the joint Councilors of Shira local Government Area of Bauchi State has ended the starship of the Council Chairman Honourable Abdullahi Beli and the the Vice Chairman for alleged mismanagement of funds in an impromptu meeting conveyed for the resolution.
Chairman of the councilors Wali Adamu, told journalists of the development when he led his fellow Councillors to the State Assembly for notification as required by the law.
Adamu cited illegitimate and one-sided operation by the sacked chairman in discharging the affairs of the local Government despite one month warning.
He said he would be the one in charge of Shita local Government affairs pending the decision of the state house of assembly.
Pundits have welcome the development saying Local Government autonomy has come to change the narrative of governance in the country .
