Abducted Lagos PDP chairman regains freedom

Philip Aivoji, the chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party’s Lagos State chapter, has been released after being kidnapped by unidentified gunmen on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.
Aivoji was released four days after being taken on Thursday.
Aivoji and other party leaders were kidnapped on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on Thursday while returning from the party’s Stakeholders’ Zonal Caucus meeting, which was organized by Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde in Ibadan, the state capital.
His release was revealed by the State Publicity Secretary, Hakeem Amode, in a short statement made at 1.15 am on Monday.
