A Kaduna based Information Communication Technology (ICT) expert Najeeb Ibrahim, founder of the ICT firm called ‘Najeeb Digital Dynamics’ has unveiled an online learning platform for skills acquisition.

Najeeb in a press release issued to our correspondent yesterday in Gombe, explained that the online class tagged ‘Skillclass’ is a platform for e-learning noting that unlike the Massive Open Online Courses programs driven by traditional collegiate coursework, Skillclass collaborates with real world experts in different fields to create online courses which can be offered to the public free of charge.

“So, anybody with internet connection and the will to learn can visit www.skillclass.ng to master a suite of job-ready skills and get a credential at the end of it. Skillclass is the most comprehensive learning platform for Nigerians.

“At Skillclass, we believe the best teachers, the ones closest to new trends and skills are not always found in a classroom. We have a network of tens of thousands of experts and real world practitioners teaching online courses on topics ranging from key business skills and personal development”. He said.

The ICT expert stated that the mission is to improve lives through learning saying their online platform features an extensive, multi-language library of online courses taught by expert instructors.

“You can take courses across a wide range of categories, some of which include; business and enterpreneurship, IT & Computer Skills, Art and Craft, and much more. The opportunities for learning are endless” He noted.

According to him, the skillclass was borne out of the necessity to bridge the gap between what universities are teaching and the skills the students actually need.

He revealed that the courses are sponsored by big companies as part of their corporate social responsibilies.
