Council Boss Hails Bauchi Governor over Construction of Life-changing Warji-Gwaram Road

The Executive Chairman of Warji Local Government Area, Hon. Aminu Barmini, has commended Governor Bala Mohammed for constructing the 19.5-kilometre Warji–Gwaram road, describing it as a project that has transformed the lives of residents and boosted economic activities.

Barmini gave the commendation in Warji on Thursday when the Commissioner for Information and Communication, Usman Shehu Usman, led a media team on an inspection tour of projects executed by the Bala Mohammed administration.

According to the chairman, before the construction of the road, residents suffered untold hardships as the deplorable condition discouraged traders and investors from visiting the area. He said farm produce attracted little value due to poor access.

“With this new road, our people can now travel with ease to Ningi, Jigawa and Kano states for business and farming activities. It has brought huge relief to the entire community,” Barmini said.

He added that the road and other developmental projects executed by the governor have endeared him to the people of Warji.

Other notable projects in the local government, he said, include the construction of a district head’s palace in Katanga, the Burarana–Dagu road, construction of massive culvert in Dagu to control erosion, and the building of a General Hospital and staff quarters in Katanga.

The governor has also renovated the local government secretariat, built primary healthcare centres in Muda Baba, Ingila Zurgwai, Ingiwan Danya Tiyin, and rehabilitated primary schools across the 13 wards of the LGA.

Additionally, village head palaces in Dagu and Bamai are under construction, alongside mosques and other community-oriented projects.

During the visit, which also had in attendance the governor’s Special Adviser on Media, Muktar Gidado, and Senior Special Assistant on Communication, Abdulwahab Mohammed, the District Head of Warji, Alhaji Samaila Ibrahim, showered praises on the governor.

“The achievements of Governor Bala Mohammed are too numerous to count. He renovated our palaces and equipped them with furniture,” the monarch states.

‘He built the road that opened us from the prison we were in. Today, we reach Ningi, Kano, and Jigawa within hours instead of wasting long hours on bad roads. From the East to the North, development has opened Warji to the world. We will always protect him and pray for his success”.
