Bauchi: Constituents Happy With Senator Buba’s Representation in National Assembly

Hundreds of constituents from Bauchi State, under the auspices of Bauchi Elders, Youths and Women Development Association (BEYWDA) have expressed their satisfaction with Senator Shehu Buba’s (Bauchi South Senatorial District) representation in the National Assembly.

Leader of BEYWDA, Ahmad Tijjani Mohammed, who spoke on their behalf, said that Senator Buba ‘s representation has impacted positively on Nigerians  in general and the people of the district in particular.

Tijjani made the remark when the group interacted with journalists in Bauchi saying that for the past one year and seven months, the Senator had carried out activities that had directly impacted on Nigerians and constituents.

“He had sponsored many bills at different stages of legislation at the National Assembly, and under his leadership of the district many constituency projects were captured in the 2024 and 2025 budget,” he disclosed.

“Sen Buba moved many motions and executed many constituency projects, including distribution of electric transformers, sinking of boreholes and construction of road networks, distribution of solar light in the District.

“Only God knows the number of people that have benefited from his empowerment programmes of training and equipping people to start up handiworks that will make them self-reliance.                                                                                                                                          Many victims and people that received food items in all the 20 local Government Area of the State”

Tijjani, who was flanked by hundreds of All Progressive Congress (AOC) supporters  across the uthat Shehu Buba will not rest or get distracted from his statutory responsibilities.

“Senator Shehu is focused on continuing a positive impact on the lives of people, and has provided electricity, water and empowerment to his constituents and he even extended it to 20 local Government areas of the State.

“All these are there as evidence for verification in case anybody is in doubt.

“He believes in teaching people how to catch fish, that is why he is empowering people educationally, and people of Bauchi State today knows that they are reaping the fruits of it”.

He said critics of Senator Shehu are envious of his achievements but as an enlightened electorate they know his worth as a lawmaker with pedigree, credibility and exposure.

“That’s why if you go there, you do your best to ensure that your constituents benefit maximally and Shehu has put his detractors to shame,” he said.

Also speaking, Hajiya Rabi Muhammad, the Women coordinator of BEYWDA, said many Women have been trained and equipped in Information and Communication Technology ICT, while others were trained as artisans to make handbags, shoes and miscellaneous items to be self-reliant.

The BEYWDA Youth leader, Abubakar Sadiq Ahmad also commended Senator Shehu for his outstanding leadership and commitment to providing dividends of democracy to his constituents.

Sadiq described Senator Buba as an exemplary leader, a great lawmaker, and the most outstanding first-term Senators in the state.

The Youth Leader explained that Senator Buba has an uncommon commitment to the welfare of his constituents and the nation at large.

He said further that the way the Senator focused on human capital development, infrastructure improvements, and empowering women and youths, was a testament to his dedication to sustainable development.

 “We praise Senator Shehu for his selfless service, integrity, and passion for development,” Sadiq added.

“He is indeed a shining example of a true leader, cultivating the potential of tomorrow’s leaders and enhancing community well-being.

“His dedication to the welfare of his constituents is unparalleled, and his commitment to sustainable development is inspiring.

“Senator Shehu’s leadership has brought hope and opportunities to the people of Bauchi South Senatorial District.

“He has proven himself to be a true representative of the people, always putting their interests above his own.

“His humility, compassion, and empathy have endeared him to the hearts of many, and God will continue to give him more supporter’s followers”

”Many speakers of BEYWDA also commended Senator Shehu’s ability to work collaboratively with other stakeholders to achieve common goals, citing his leadership style as proof of his ability to connect with his constituents and understand their needs.

They urged other lawmakers and politicians to emulate Senator Buba’s exemplary leadership and commitment to the welfare of his constituents, encouraging him to sustain the tempo of his impactful work.
