Bauchi: Football Club Owner Distributes Uniform To 10 Schools In Tafawa-Balewa

The owner of Num Soccer Academy, Babangida Thomas on Tuesday distributed thousands of complete sets of uniforms to ten (10) upper basic and Primary Schools in Tafawa-Balewa local government area of Bauchi State.
Babangida who is the former player of the Wikki Tourists Football Club Bauchi and Nasarawa United FC said that he picked interest in the distribution of the uniforms to schools in order to reduce burden on parents, particularly at this critical time of hardship.
The schools beneficiaries include, Num primary school, Kal, Wadi, lwong upper basic, Tarjan upper basic, Tarjan primary school, Kubi, Badam, Sara secondary school and Martin Daji primary school.

Babangida Thomas who was one of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) councillorship aspirant for Lere South in the last August Bauchi State local government election and lost the primary.
Thomas during the primary election campaign, he promised all upper basic and primary schools in Lere South that whether he emerged the winner or not, he would provide them with new uniforms.
According to Babangida, “During the Bauchi State local governments election, I promised that whether I win the primary election or not, I will provide complete new school uniforms to all schools in my ward. So I decided to fulfill the vows which I have done it today”
He urged the beneficiaries of the uniforms to make sure that they always come to school, wash it and take good care of it for the good development of education in Lere South, Tafawa-Baleawa local government, Bauchi State and Nigeria at large.
The former councillor aspirant of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Lere South, Honorable Babangida Thomas Num called on those who have the opportunity to also contribute in some aspect in order to boost education in the area.
Speaking on behalf of the teachers, Mallam Godiya who is the Head master of badam primary school, thanked the gesture for a wonderful job done to the 10 schools in the Southern part of Lere, Tafawa-Baleawa local government area of Bauchi State.
He said that the provision of the school uniforms to the students really encouraged them and they will try their possible initiatives to give the children the best in the education sector.
Some of the students expressed their happiness for getting complete set of school uniform, assuring that they will do their best to become someone in the future in order to be useful to society after reaching their goals.
