Bauchi’s Massive Investments In agriculture Boosting Security – Air force Chief

Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Hassan Abubakar has stated that massive investments in agriculture and infrastructures in Bauchi State are responsible for relative peace in the state.
Abubakar made the observation during a courtesy call on Governor Bala Mohammed, at Government House Bauchi, on Monday.
He believed that the governor’s transformative agenda in agriculture has boosted efforts to curtail insecurity in the state.
He said the establishment of the Africa Development Bank (ADP) supported Special Agro-Industrial Processing Zones was a welcome development that would further boost food security and Gross Domestic Product of the state.
“We have seen an uncommon determination to ensure development in Bauchi through infrastructural development and investment in agriculture,” he said.
“The state government’s heavy investment in infrastructural and agriculture have paid off because we have witnessed relative peace in Bauchi.
“Security requires coordinated efforts therefore His Excellency, Governor Bala Mohammed’s focus on agriculture will help eradicate poverty in Bauch state.
“These laudable policies align with the Nigerian Air force efforts to tackle insecurity.
“Nigeria Air force will synergy with other security agencies to ensure security of lives and property and ensure continuous peace in Bauchi”
The Chief of Air force revealed that Toro, Ningi and Alakleri Local Government Areas have been identified as flashpoints in the state through intelligence reports gathering.
He however assured that efforts were being made to prevent any untoward events in the flashpoints in the state.
He commended the governor for the continuous support to the air force command in the state saying it has boosted air operations.
He reassure the state government that the air force would continue to maintain the cordial relation with the people of the state by expanding its medical outreach and other activities that would benefit the civilian population to complement government’s efforts
Governor Bala Mohammed in his response expressed gratitude for the visit, describing the Chief of Air force as one of the most competent he has ever met as a governor.
Mohammed said for the Chief of Air Force to out to see officers and men was a testimony of his professionalism
“I am not surprised by the tradition you are putting,” he said.
“We have recognized the importance role the Nigeria Air force is playing
“Your collaborating instinct is making the state safe and secured because of the manner you relate with civil society and your personnel”
The governor assured that the state will collaborate with the air force and other security agencies to concerning flashpoints in the state to sustain peace.
