The Independent Newspapers, has nominated Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State for the 2023 Man of the Year award.

Omanufeme said the nomination was informed by the achievements recorded by his administration  of Buni in all the sectors.

“Yours is a model of verifiable achievements in line with the philosophy of this award: celebrating trailblazers and exceptional Nigerians,” Omanufeme said.

“Your enormous humility, open-door policy, generosity, goodwill and the infrastructural revolution to meet the needs of the people under your watch are also factors that led to your nomination as the Man of the Year”
