Tbe Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had declared Leko Gambo of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the winner of Dass, Tafawa Balewa and Bogoro Federal Constituency election in Bauchi State.
Leko was endorsed few days to the election by the incumbent member representing the constituency, former Speaker Yakubu Dogara as the most competent candidate for the people of the area to vote for.

“I want to use this medium to profusely thank everyone for the excellent support I have enjoyed so far,” he said.
“It is not because I am good enough to deserve same, but you have chosen to show me support in spite of my weaknesses, I am truly grateful”.
He further said there is a movement in support of entrenching peace in the constituency for economic empowerment and collective growth irrespective of ethnic and religious differences.
He lamented that someone has decided to arrogate to himself as the only leader to be revered, saying “we remain resolute to revere God only”
“With the outcome of the election result, we are set to challenge it in the Election Petition Tribunal in order to reclaim our mandate,” he said.
