Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Malam Abdullahi Sule, popularly known as “Madaki,” a cameraman with the Bauchi State Government House Press Crew.

Sule reportedly died in the early hours of Thursday after a brief illness.

In a condolence message issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mukhtar Gidado, Governor Mohammed extended his heartfelt condolences to the deceased’s immediate family, members of the Government House Press Crew, the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), friends, colleagues and associates.

The governor described Madaki as a dedicated, hardworking and peace-loving media professional whose simplicity, humility and friendliness endeared him to those around him.

According to him, the deceased was a committed member of the Government House Press Crew who discharged his responsibilities with professionalism, loyalty and dedication to duty.

He said Sule contributed meaningfully to the documentation and dissemination of the activities of the Bauchi State Government.

“His death is a painful loss not only to his immediate family and colleagues but also to the entire Bauchi State media community.

“Madaki was a simple, responsible and dedicated professional cameraman who related warmly with people and consistently demonstrated a peaceful disposition,” the governor said.

Governor Mohammed prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive the shortcomings of the deceased and grant him eternal rest in Aljannatul Firdaus.

He also prayed for the family, colleagues, friends and associates of the deceased to be granted the courage and fortitude to bear the loss.

The governor urged members of the media community and others mourning Madaki to take solace in the fact that death is an inevitable journey for every human being.

The funeral prayer for the deceased was scheduled for Thursday, September 10, at Filin Barewa, opposite Maman Kapaya, Unguwan Kur, Railway, Bauchi, by 9:00 a.m.

Sule’s death has been described as a loss to the Government House Press Crew and the wider media community in Bauchi State.
