Bauchi OAIC Re-elects Superior Evangelist Okere As Chairman

Pledges to strengthen unity,love among members, christian community

One of the blocs under the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), the Organisation of African Instituted churches (OAIC), Nigeria Region, Bauchi State Chapter has elected new executive officers to pilot its affairs for the next four years.

In a peaceful and hitch free election conducted at the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church (CSMC), Yandoka road, Bauchi yesterday, Superior Evangelist Emmanuel Okere emerged as the chairman of the organisation in the state.

Okere and all the other executive members were returned unopposed at the election for another four year tenure.

Other executive members who emerged unopposed include
Special Apostle Kayode Ojo – Vice chairman l; Senior Apostle C. O Chukwu – Vice Chairman ll; Most Senior Apostle Joseph Fayomi – Secretary.

Also elected through consensus are Elder (Engr) Steve Orji – Asst Secretary; Elder Uche Ezeh – Treasurer; Prophet Kayode Samuel – Financial Secretary; Superior Evangelist A.O Obasi – PRO and Prophet Mike Ezengo – Welfare Officer.

In his acceptance speech, the re-elected chairman expressed the commitment of his executive towards achieving significant milestones and make a meaningful impact in the organisation as well as representing the Christian community with dignity in the state in particular, and the nation in general.

Okere, who expressed appreciation to the bloc members for their continued support, selflessness and steadfast commitment to peace and progress, despite the challenges faced in recent times, expressed renewed hope, unwavering commitment and determination for more impacts.

“We are most grateful to Your Eminence Bishop Dr. RBC Nwankwo, Special Apostle Pastor Solomon Ayanwale and Special Apostle John Adedigba, Northeast Zonal Chairman and General Secretary respectively for the Grace and privileges given to us to serve. We are most grateful for your unwavering support physically, morally and spiritually,” he added.

He also commended the state Governor, Senator Bala Abdukadir Mohammed for his unwavering commitment towards ensuring that peace and tranquility reigns across the state, adding that “we express our profound gratitude to His Excellency for his kindness and love towards the christian community in the state “

” ‘Mr Project’,as he is fondly called,we pray God will continue to be you and grant you divine wisdom to continue with the good work you have been doing and wish you success in your future political endeavours,” he prayed.

In his remarks, the Election’s Returning Officer, Bishop RBC Nwankwo congratulated the newly re-elected executive officers, and
called for joint efforts in executing their vision, urging them to pray for God’s guidance and wisdom.

According to Bishop Nwankwo who also represented the OAIC Regional President, “As we reflect on your victory and the journey so far, we celebrate the triumphs, lessons learned from setbacks, and we look forward to continuing our pursuit of unity, commitment and progress of OAIC in Bauchi State, with renewed hope and determination.

He added that “For the youth, the Exco should prioritise the effective development of the youth through organising programmes that will not only keep them busy from societal ills and damaging youthful exuberant behaviours, but that which will make them useful for themselves, the church and the nation”.

During the exercise, the Returning Officer was supported by Special Apostle Pastor Solomon Ayanwale and Special Apostle John Adedigba, Northeast Zonal chairman and General Secretary respectively. END
