2027: APC Support Groups Demand Recognition of Bauchi Congress Results…

Rally Support for Tinubu Ahead of 2027
From Paul Orude Bauchi
A coalition of All Progressives Congress (APC) and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s support groups in Bauchi State has called on the national leadership of the party to uphold the outcome of the recently concluded state congress and ensure unity ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Addressing a press conference on Monday at the Double Four Event Centre in G.R.A., Bauchi, the group urged President Tinubu, the APC National Chairman, and other party leaders to intervene in what they described as “disturbing development,” threatening the stability of the party in the state.
The coalition said the state congress, held between March 3 and 4, 2026, was conducted in line with the party’s constitution and relevant provisions of the Electoral Act, and was monitored by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), security agencies, and the media.
According to the group, the exercise produced a duly elected State Executive Committee, including Alhaji Muhammad Hassan Tilde as Chairman, Alhaji Mustapha Zirami as Secretary, and Hon. Yakubu Muhammed as Organizing Secretary.
However, the coalition alleged that some party stakeholders were making “underhand efforts” to alter the outcome of the congress by attempting to replace duly elected officials with defeated candidates.
“This is a clear subversion of the will of the majority of party stakeholders in Bauchi State,” the group said, warning that such actions could undermine the growing momentum and renewed confidence in the APC ahead of the 2027 elections.

They noted that while other states have successfully inaugurated their new party executives, Bauchi State is yet to do so, a situation they linked to ongoing attempts to manipulate the results.
The group further recalled similar internal disputes that affected the party’s performance in previous elections, particularly in 2019 and 2023, and cautioned against a repeat as preparations for 2027 gather pace.
“We have learnt from past mistakes and resolved to work together for the unity of the party and the success of Mr. President. The progress recorded so far must not be reversed,” the coalition stated.
They emphasized that respecting the outcome of the congress was critical to consolidating party unity and ensuring electoral success for the APC and President Tinubu in Bauchi State.
The statement was jointly signed by Barrister Jibrin S. Jibrin, Chairman of the Advisory Board, and Comrade Ibrahim Y. Muhammad, Secretary of the coalition.
