Governor Dauda Lawal has commenced a statewide engagement with stakeholders of the Zamfara State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), as part of efforts to strengthen party unity and address key political and developmental issues across the state.
The engagement series began on Tuesday at the Rescue Hall, Government House, Gusau, with stakeholders from Gummi and Maru Local Government Areas in attendance.
According to a statement issued by the Governor’s spokesperson, Sulaiman Bala Idris, the stakeholder meetings are a regular initiative designed to provide a platform for strategic discussions on issues affecting both the party and Zamfara State.
The statement explained that the engagements allow Governor Lawal to interact directly with party leaders and grassroots stakeholders, listen to their concerns, receive advice, and critically assess the situation in their respective communities.

It further disclosed that Governor Lawal will, in the coming weeks, host PDP stakeholders from all the 14 local government areas of the state as part of the statewide exercise.
“The engagement provides a platform where the Governor discusses important political issues impacting the party and the state,” the statement noted.
The spokesperson added that the ongoing consultations reaffirm the Peoples Democratic Party’s strength and influence across Zamfara State, while also promoting inclusiveness, internal democracy, and collective problem-solving within the party.
