Christmas 2025: First Lady Remi Tinubu Donates 1,000 Bags of Rice to Bauchi Christians
From Paul Orude Bauchi
Christians in Bauchi State have received 1,000 bags of rice donated by the First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, as part of activities marking the 2025 Christmas celebration.
The donation was received through the former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon Yakubu Dogara, for onward distribution to the beneficiaries across the State.
The Bauchi State Coordinator of the Christian Northern Nigeria Political Forum, (CNNPF), Mr. Ayuba Dogara, disclosed this during the flag-off of the distribution exercise in Bauchi on Saturday.
Dogara said the rice would be shared across all the 20 Local Government Areas of the state to ensure wide and fair coverage.

According to him, the beneficiaries include youth groups, prayer groups, widows, women groups, All Progressive Congress executives in the LGAs, and Christian communities across the LGAs.
“We were given 1,000 bags of rice and we are planning to distribute them to groups and all the 20 LGAs,” he said while handing over the items of the LG coordinators.

APC Chairman in Bogoro, Mr. Istifanus Mmanasi, says Tinubu always remembers Christians.
“l congratulate the beneficiaries. To me, this is favour. Her Excellency deemed it fit that Christians in Bauchi State, who are a minority, should also benefit and have cause to celebrate Christmas,” Dogata said.
He urged beneficiaries to see the gesture as a divine gift and called on them to pray for the First Lady and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu
“Let us see this as God’s gift, give glory to God and thank Him for Her Excellency. Pray for her, pray for wisdom and good health,” he said.

“The Government coordinators must faithfully ensure these items reach the intended beneficiaries. You are her eyes so if the items do not get to the people, then the effort amounts to nothing,” he warned.
Dogara also praised President Tinubu’s leadership, noting that Nigeria’s relative peace and stability were reflections of his governance.
“We appreciate the President and Commander-in-Chief for his leadership vision, which has brought stability to the nation.
“We pray God grants him continued wisdom to lead Nigeria with the fear of God,” he added.
Speaking on behalf of beneficiaries, Bege Maidandul, the Bauchi Local Government Coordinator from Miri Ward, expressed gratitude to the First Lady, praying for her good health and long life.
“These rice will help us a lot. We were not expecting it. This will enable us to celebrate Christmas and the New Year in joy,” he said.
.
Similarly, the APC Chairman in Bogoro Local Government Area, Mr. Istifanus Mmanasi, described the donation as a demonstration of President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and inclusiveness.
“This gesture shows that President Tinubu is carrying Christians along.
“We in APC Bogoro are happy. former Speaker Yakubu Dogara is part of the government and we are pleased.
“We advise our followers to key into Tinubu’s programmes as we look ahead to 2027 with optimism,” he stated.
The distribution exercise is expected to continue across the state to ensure all designated groups receive their allocations ahead of the festive season.
