Tributes Pour in as Audu, Jonathan Console APC Chairman Yilwatda Over Mother’s Death

Presidential aspirant, Tanimu Audu, and Music Director, Jonathan Paul, have expressed their heartfelt condolences to the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, following the death of his mother, late Lydia Yilwatda.
In a statement issued on Friday, the duo described Mama Lydia as a devoted mother, grandmother, and matriarch who lived a life of “faith, service, and love,” leaving behind a legacy that will continue to inspire future generations.
“It is with deep sorrow and heartfelt sympathy that we mourn the passing of our dear mother, grandmother, and matriarch, late Mama Lydia Yilwatda. We extend our condolences to Prof. Yilwatda, His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the APC family, and indeed all Nigerians over this great loss,” the statement read.
They further urged Nigerians to join in prayers for Prof. Yilwatda and his family during this period of grief, praying that Almighty God grants him wisdom, sound health, and greater success in his service to the nation.
The burial ceremony of Mama Lydia is scheduled for Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Dungung in Kanke Local Government Area of Plateau State.
Audu and Paul also prayed for journey mercies for dignitaries, friends, and sympathizers who will travel to Plateau State to pay their last respects.
