The Gombe State chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has endorsed the Senator David Mark led national leadership.

Mark emerged as the interim national chairman after the adoption of the party as platform for the coalition of opposition members for the 2027 elections.

The party officials and stakeholders made the endorsement during their general meeting held at Maidugu Hotel.

In his address at the meeting, the state chairman of the party, Danladi Ya’u, asserted that the coming of the coalition of opposition leaders into the party is a plus for it adding that they have no objection to Mark’s chairmanship.

He said victory is the goal of every political party saying with people like David Mark as the party leaders, ADC is on track to succeed in defeating the All Progressives Congress ( APC) and the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) which are the main parties in the nation come 2027.

The party also berated the deputy national chairman, Nafiu Bala who is a citizen of the state for declaring himself as national chairman describing the action as divisive and self-centred.

“We want to use this medium to distance ourselves and the entire executives of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) Gombe State chapter from the self-centred political ambition of Nafiu Bala.

“However, we categorically reaffirm our total allegiance to the leadership of Senator David Mark”, he said.

He assured that ADC would open offices in the 114 wards in Gombe State before election saying even the ruling All Progressives Congress has no offices in all the wards.
