Barau FC to Kick Off NPFL Debut at Sani Abacha Stadium, Face Enyimba in Season Opener

Our Reporter
The Kano State Government has approved the Sani Abacha Stadium as Barau FC’s temporary home ground for the new season.
The Maliya Boys had to shift base due to ongoing renovations at their home ground, Dambatta Stadium.
Barau FC, newly promoted to the Nigeria Premier Football League after securing a ticket at the NNL playoffs in June, will now begin life in the topflight from Kano.
Their first test will be a tough one against nine-time champions Enyimba in the opening game of the season.
The 2025/26 NPFL campaign kicks off this weekend across 10 centres.
