Bauchi State has formally entered into a sister-state bilateral partnership with China’s Hunan Province, paving the way for expanded collaboration in agriculture, mining, trade, and other key sectors.
The milestone agreement was highlighted during a courtesy visit to Governor Bala Mohammed by a delegation from the China-Africa Center for Business and Economic Promotion.
Governor Bala welcomed the partnership, describing it as a perfect fit for his administration’s development agenda. He assured the visiting investors of full government support to protect their investments while also tapping into global best practices to strengthen state policies and programs.
He emphasized Bauchi State’s vast investment potential in agriculture, mineral resources, education, and human capital development.
Speaking earlier, the Chairman of Global and Evaluation from the People’s Republic of China, Mr. Lee Zencheng, reaffirmed China’s readiness to work closely with Nigeria and Bauchi State to advance mutual economic interests.
He noted that the two countries have already signed a Memorandum of Understanding to open new investment opportunities, with priority areas including trade, culture, tourism, and natural resource development.
