Suspected bandits have launched fresh attacks on communities in Malumfashi Local Government Area of Katsina State, killing three residents, injuring several others, and abducting an undisclosed number of people.

The attacks, which occurred on Monday night, plunged the affected communities into sorrow and panic.

According to eyewitness accounts, the assailants stormed Karfi community around midnight and operated for over three hours. One person was confirmed killed, while several residents were abducted.

Just days earlier, on Friday, bandits had attacked the Layin Minister area. That assault claimed two lives, left several residents injured, and led to more abductions.

“The bandits attacked Karfi after Juma’at prayers, killing one and abducting two,” an eyewitness who pleaded anonymity told Metoric Post. “Hours later, they moved to Layin Minister, where they killed two people, injured many, and kidnapped several others.”

As of the time of filing this report, authorities have yet to issue an official statement on the incidents.
