Student Forum Calls On Tinubu Loyalist Darazo To Defect To PDP

The Kaura Student Support Forum has called on Khamis Musa Darazo, a die-in-the –wool supporter of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to defect from All Progressives Congress (APC) and join the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

The call was made in a statement issued by Comrade Sani Adamu, Chairman of the Forum on Monday, stressing that despite Darazo’s steadfast loyalty and numerous sacrifices, APC has failed to acknowledge or reward his commitment.

Adanu urged Darazo to align himself with former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, whom they believe would better appreciate and harness his passion toward building a stronger Nigeria ahead of the 2027 elections.

A resident of Bauchi State, Darazo has shown extraordinary loyalty to President Tinubu, famously donated his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) allowance during the 2023 presidential campaign and named his daughter after Tinubu’s late mother.

Most recently, Darazo donated a Sallah ram to the President as a gesture of appreciation following the announcement of the Kolmani Oil License.

“We recognise the remarkable gesture made by Khamis Musa Darazo in donating a Sallah ram to President Tinubu in celebration of the Kolmani Oil License,” the forum said.

“While we commend his loyalty, we believe his dedication would be better served in a more appreciative and rewarding political environment,” he added.

Comrade Sani urged Atiku Abubakar to extend a hand to Darazo, describing him as a committed grassroots mobilizer who could contribute significantly to a renewed political vision for Nigeria.

“Khamis Musa Darazo’s energy and unwavering commitment would be a valuable asset to Atiku Abubakar’s 2027 campaign. Together, they can work toward a more inclusive and prosperous Nigeria, one that creates real opportunities for every citizen.

“Perhaps Khamis’s less-privileged background that’s why his efforts have gone unnoticed. Despite his consistent and sincere support, he has not received the recognition he deserves.”

“This is why we are calling on him to reconsider his political affiliation and return to the PDP, a party that will value and amplify his contributions. No one should remain in a place where their sacrifices are ignored”

The forum also advised APC to always recognise and appreciate its supporters for their dedication and support.
