Ramadan: Wunti-Al-Khair Foundation Distributes Over 20,000 bags of Rice In Bauchi

In an effort to combat hunger and insecurity, a nongovernmental organisation, Wunti Al-Khair Foundation, has distributed over 20,000 bags of rice across the 20 LGAs in Bauchi State.
Ango Mustapha, Director of Programmes of Wunti Al-Khair Foundation, who disclosed this in a press briefing held at the foundation‘s office in Bauchi on Wednesday, said the distribution was carried out across the three senatorial districts in the state.

Mustpaha explained that the initiative was to ensure that families had access to essential food supplies throughout Ramadan.
He said the organisation was dedicated to uplifting communities through humanitarian and empowerment initiatives is committed to supporting the well-being of individuals, particularly during the Holy Month of Ramadan.
“Guided by the principles and values of our chairman and founder Dr. Bala Wunti, which are compassion, generosity, and social responsibility, over the years have provided sustainable interventions that improve lives, foster unity, and promote development,” he said.

“As part of our annual Ramadan Support Programme, we have implemented several impactful initiatives aimed at ensuring that the less privileged, fasting Muslims, and the broader Bauchi community experience the blessings of Ramadan with dignity and ease”
He said the foundation had provided over 3,000 cooked meals daily to fasting Muslims in various communities across Bauchi, offering nourishment to those in need and fostering a spirit of communal support.
“In addition to structured distributions, we engaged in spontaneous acts of kindness, ensuring that those often overlooked—such as street workers, security personnel, Muslim students society in Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Federal polytechnic Bauchi, Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic, College of Education Kangere and individuals with special needs—felt valued and supported,”Mustapha stated.
“The Foundation has created a unique opportunity for over 200 children to participate in Quran recitation (Daura) at the Eid ground during Ramadan.

“This initiative encourages young Muslims to deepen their connection with the Holy Quran while also providing food for them and other members of the Muslim ummah around the filin idi community.
“In the spirit of Eid, we are distributing thousands of new clothes to the less privileged, ensuring that many individuals, especially children, can celebrate with dignity and joy”
