Speaking during the launching of the distribution in Kumo town of Akko local government, coordinator of the group, Muhammad Bose, explained that the initiative aims to bring succour to the less privileged persons especially as they observe fasting.

According to him, items distributed include; rice, sugar, and noodles, and lauded a director at North East Development Commission (NEDC), Abdulsalam Ahmed, for supporting the group to provide the assistance.

He added that the objective of the group is to foster peace, unity among the diverse people in the state and empower the youth.

Responding, one of the beneficiaries; Adama Umar from Akko local government, expressed gratitude to the group for the gesture.

“This initiative is a shining example of the impact that community-led efforts can have on the lives of vulnerable individuals. It highlights the importance of collaboration and generosity in promoting peace and unity, especially during the holy month of Ramadan.”, she said.
