The Vice Chancellor Sa’adu Zungur University, SAZU, Gadau. Bauchí State, Prof Fatimah Tahir, has conveyed the appreciation of the University’s management to Governor Bala Mohammed for recent significant increase in the monthly allocation/subvention to the institution.

“The management of Sa’adu Zungur University SAZU and the entire University community therefore, wish to express its profound gratitude and sincere appreciation to the Visitor, His Excellency Senator Bala Abudulkadir Mohammed CON (Kauran Daular Usmaniyya), the Executive Governor of Bauchi State for this giant strides,” Prof. Tahir said.

“This indeed, is a remarkable effort by the administration of the Governor towards improving the standard of the University, which is in line with his vision of improving the standard and quality of education in Bauchi state,” a press release signed and issued by Auwal Hassan, the Public Relations Officer for the University, read in part.

According to the release, the Vice Chancellor explained that the management of the Institution was optimistic that recent significant increase in the monthly allocation/subvention to the institution would go a long way in addressing most, if not all, the challenges faced by the University, particularly in the area of teaching and learning.

The release recalled that a Letter of Appreciation signed by the University’s Registrar, A.G. Hassan PhD, dated February 11, 2025, assured that it would make judicious use of  grants to provide quality teaching and efficient research in the University to further assist the governor in taking the state to greater heights.

“Similarly, the Vice Chancellor Professor Fatimah Tahir applauds Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed for the construction of five major access roads within Gadau, the main campus of the University, which was recently completed,” the release quoted the VC as saying

“These roads will surely improve accessibility and convenience and also ensure a more conducive learning environment for students, faculty, and staff.

“Your Excellency, these and other efforts, are testament to your unwavering commitment, dedication and vision to transform Sa’adu Zungur University SAZU into a world-class institution, fostering academic excellence and innovation”
