A Bauchi – based legal practitioner, Barrister Mohammed Alkassim, has commended the state governor, Sen. Bala Abdulkadir Muhammad for appointing Aminu Hammayo as Secretary to the State Government (SSG).

Alkassim made this known in a press statement made available to journalists in Bauchi on Monday.

Hammayo, until his appointment by the governor, was the Commissioner for Budget, Economic Planning and Multilateral Relations.

“As Commissioner, Hammayo had demonstrated his wealth of experience in public finance management and prudent resource utilization,” Alkassim stated

“As a seasoned administrator and bureaucrat, this is by no means a coincidence but the profile of Hammayo’s track record and administrative antecedents speak loud, having  serve the state in different capacities under previous governments justified his integrity.

“The choice of this illustrious son, Alhaji Aminu Hammayo makes a round peg in a round hole.

“All sons and daughters of Bauchi state including civil servants and elder statesmen have great cause to embrace this noble appointment, which marks an unalloyed commitment of His Excellency, Sen. Bala Muhammad Abdulkadir to repositioning Bauchi state, deepening good governance as well as accelerated growth and sustainable economic development.

“While recognizing your appointment and the potency of democratic elixir of the people’s governor, accept our sincere congratulations. May God bestow on you wisdom as you rise to this new saddle. Congratulations Sir”
