NLC Issues Stern Ultimatum, demands Ajaero’s release before 12 midnight

The Nigerian Labour Congress, NLC, rose from its National Administrative Council (NAC) meeting held in Abuja on Monday with a stern warning to release its National President Comrade Joe Ajaero or face serious consequences.
The meeting follwoed the arrest and detention of Ajaero who was arrested at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, on his way to the United Kingdom, UK, for a meeting.
According to information obtained by Metoric Post, the resolution from the emergency meeting of the NLC was stern.
The union demanded Ajaero’s “immediate and unconditional release” before 12 midnight today (Monday)
The labour union also demanded the immediate reversal of the hike in the price of petrol to N617/Litre.
Metoric Post reports that already, the NLC has placed all its affiliates, state councils, civil society allies and the Nigerian populace on red alert.
The NLC has also summoned an emergency meeting of the National Executive Council (NEC) by 9:00 am on Tuesday, September 10, 2024.
