During a thanksgiving service at the Edo Regional Headquarters of the church, Rema explained the significance of his donation: “I am not here to seek any accolades but to give glory to God. I felt it was important to give back to the church that embraced my family, prayed for us, and supported us through a difficult period.”
He detailed how the church, led by Pastor Joy and Pastor Thomas, helped his mother by opening a shop for her, which enabled her to provide for the family.
In recognition of this support, Rema pledged N40 million for the church’s infrastructural development, N20 million to the Rhapsody of Realities publication, and N25 million to the church’s teen ministry.
Additionally, he pledged N20 million to assist widows in attendance.
Rema’s donation underscores his deep appreciation for the church’s impact on his life and his commitment to giving back to the community that supported him during his formative years.
