Pope and four other actors allegedly drowned after their boat capsized in the Anam River in Nigeria when returning from a film shoot.

On Wednesday, Rollas announced the actor was receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital.

However, early Thursday morning, Rollas confirmed that Junior Pop had passed away.

“It’s so so sad that our joy was shortlived. My first post was out of excitement when we noticed his tingling fingers…”

He goes on to say that two ‘notable hospitals’ attempted to revive Pope but it was to no avail.
