How Nollywood Actor Junior Pope Died in Boating Mishap

Nollywood star Junior Pope, 39, has died in an unfortunate boating accident.
Pope was one of five who drowned in the Anam River in Nigeria after returning from a film shoot.
The National President of Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Emeka Rollas, confirmed the passing of the star
Pope and four other actors allegedly drowned after their boat capsized in the Anam River in Nigeria when returning from a film shoot.
On Wednesday, Rollas announced the actor was receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital.
However, early Thursday morning, Rollas confirmed that Junior Pop had passed away.
“It’s so so sad that our joy was shortlived. My first post was out of excitement when we noticed his tingling fingers…”
He goes on to say that two ‘notable hospitals’ attempted to revive Pope but it was to no avail.
Last Moment of Actor
Footage has shown the last moments of late Nollywood actor Junior Pop before his sad demise.
Some of his fans have been left in shock as they expressed sadness over the passing of the talented role interpreter.
Filmmaker Sam Olatunji revealed the actor’s demise on Wednesday, April 10, stating that he and three other people perished after their boat overturned.
They were going to a movie location when the unfortunate incident happened. Several of his fans are in disbelief as the bubbling actor was still in his usual self a day before he died.
The actor is known to show off his wife and children and he puts in effort to interpret his movie roles.
Aside from being a movie star, Junior Pope is also involved in skit-making and he gets the attention of his fans with his videos.
