Northern Group Passes Vote of Confidence On Plateau State  Assemby Speaker

The Northern Youth Association of Nigeria, has passed  a vote of confidence on the Speaker of Plateau State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Gabriel Dewan, describing him as a beacon of hope for Nigerian youth 

Speaking to journalists in the Bauchi on Easter Sunday, President of the group, Comrade Godiya said  Dewan has actually demonstrated what effective leadership is with his strides so far as Speaker since  his emergence in November 2023.

Godiya explained that the State Assembly is for the first time in a  long while, working in unity in a bid to achieve the common goal of delivering on quality representation by all members of the House just so as to allow residents enjoy dividends of democracy. 

He further stressed that the emergence Dewan as speaker of the 10th Assembly in Plateau State was a testament to the fact that Nigerian Youths still have a proper place in the Nigeria democratic and leadership space.

He said his emergennce and leadership give the group reasons to dream dreams while keeping  hopes alive, 

“Speaker Dewan has constituted himself a beacon of hope for youths across the country, he has not only function effectively as Speaker but as one that has made all of us proud,” the president said.

“His acts of humanity and philanthropy especially to the youths and the downtrodden within the society is one which can not be overemphasized. 

“The fundamental functions of the Assembly are to enact new laws, amend or repeal existing laws and oversight of the Executive, these functions.

“The 10th Assembly of Plateau State under the leadership of Rt. Hon. Gabriel Dewan as Speaker, is working with all form of zeal and commitment to be made reality and to the satisfactions of the entire people of Plateau.

“Several life transforming bills have been passed in the 10th Assembly of Plateau State under the stewardship of Rt Hon. Dewan, once again, Plateau state is back alive and kicking and the people are happy.

“We want to  sincerely thank Mr Speaker, Rt. Hon. Gabriel K. Dewan and to unequivocally pass a vote of confidence on him and the 10th Assembly of Plateau State.

Rt. Hon. Dewan has actually availed himself to us as a pattern for all youths of the country to model their lives after.

“As youths, we are here to show total support to the Honorable Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly and to The entire members of the house”
