Credible Representation: Senator Shehu Buba.

The 10^th Upper National Assembly is a place filled with technocrats, highbrows, their Excellencies, honorables and the most recognized titled “Distinguished”. Its distinguished because of the caliber of people that are setting, strengthening and proven the millions of citizens who passionately voted them to represent them for at least four years.

So far, the upper legislative chamber is consolidating on the fruitful gains of the unprecedented democracy our founding fathers and great men firmly stood to ensure its sustainability for posterity.

The 10^th assembly was lucky to have a new comer who is doing wonders both in the chamber and his primary constituency of Bauchi south, Senator Shehu Buba Umar didn’t waste his time on the numerous task prepared long ago, only waits for his destiny to justify his representation as worthy of mimicking and commendation as well as an avenue for constructive criticisms to awake him where he may err as human being.

Less than a year to his national journey to the upper chamber of the national assembly he was lucky to be heading the security and intelligence committee based on his passion and desire to support the fight against any form of criminality and insurgency in the country that started for decades.

The leadership of Senator Shehu Buba is yielding the positive outcome in combating the dreaded menace of Nigeria through adequate support to our great men and women in the intelligent security institutions and registered individuals who are willing to support the Nigerian government in crushing enemies of the country.

Posterity would commend Senator for numerous strides in supporting the intelligence agency in flushing the dreaded bandits and Kidnappers in various dens, which is in line with his electoral promised and beyond the victory that assured quality and safety lives of citizens. Today, part of the northeastern states that witnessed the heinous act of Boko Haram become history, adequate man power, the senate committee on security extend its decorum for the better and good of citizenry that was in array before the representation of the senator whose time and vim is dedicated to serving humanity without segregation or sentiment.

Sen. Shehu has so far through sincere determination and concern to the welfare of the people, provided the services much needed that were missed by the people over the years such as economic empowerments (vocational training to youths and women, token fund to start a petty business, scholarships for deserving student to advance their western and Islamic education, distribution of sewing machine for women, pedicure materials etc), infrastructural development (support for the modernization/ rehabilitations of various worshiping and learning centers,), provision of portable water supply to all the seven local government of his constituency as well as socioeconomic development of the senatorial zone and other parts of Bauchi State as deliberate effort to boost the state’s potential to attract investors from within and outside the state. Similarly, at the peak of global economic meltdown, Senator Shehu Buba, invites expert and expatriates to initiate and implement modern techniques to help the youths and women harness their exuberances in a better way.

The representation of Senator Shehu Buba is gradually changing the narratives of the position through his consistent contact with the grassroots from all amd sundry, weekly meetings and visitation to places of needs to hear and prosper solutions to what is visibly seeing in Bauchi south. In order to cushion the effect of the petroleum subsidy removal, the senator went extra mile to support poor people of his constituency in multiple ways.

In recent public opinion conducted to ascertain the voyage of the senator, a passionate supporter of Shehu Buba and the APC, says, “We had several politicians that held public offices from Bauchi South. But we have not seen a first-time senator who has achieved what the present senator representing Bauchi South has achieved within few months in office. We had not seen where a serving senator has become a gold fish that has no hiding place due to his generosity and concern to the plight of the entire people irrespective of any inclination

“We are yet to see a serving senator like Shehu Buba that dedicates more of his time to service delivery against his personal comfort. We are yet to see a serving senator friendly, more humble and sincerely committed to the welfare of the people than Senator Shehu Buba Umar who stood against the odds and committed his health and wealth to reach the upper chamber for the good of the people against his personal comfort.

Similarly, on his part a chieftain of the APC who crave for anonymity for the sake of Allah, commended, Senator Shehu Buba for his various interventions in the areas of welfare and providing succor to his constituents at this crucial time of hardship Nigerians are experiences due to inflation and effects of subsidy removal. “Senator Shehu Buba deserves applause from all and sundry, his representation is yielding the positive outcome”.

 The overwhelming support Senator Shehu Buba is receiving from the people across party divide shows his place in history as a great political titan that sacrifices his life to midwife the Senate and Bauchi State to greatness and total emancipation laced with guaranteed security to lives and property.

Having acquitted himself and set the pace in the sub-region, he deserves a “Kudos”.

Therefore, the people of Bauchi south have every reason to thank God almighty for chosen Senator Shehu Buba to change the narrative of the zone ahead of his processors as well as convinced his doubters wrong of his credible representation that brought lots of developments and preferential treatment to the people of Bauchi south, viz; Bauchi, Alkaleri, Toro, Kirfi, Bogoro, Dass and Tafawa Balewa local, governments that excel its peers in other zones of the state.

Senator Buba, needs prayers to consolidate on more fruitful gains of democracy to the people of Bauchi south and additional prayer for the support he is giving to relevant critical security agencies to make Nigeria return to its greatness as the most peaceful nation in the west Africa in few years.
