Yapak Congratulates Fintiri on Affirmation as Governor of Adawama State.

Hails President Tinubu as Champion of Democracy

Former lawmaker of Verre constituency in the Adamawa State House of Assembly, Honorable Abdullahi Umaru Yapak, on Wednesday congratulated Governor Adamu Umaru Fintiri on his victory at the Supreme Court

In a press statement signed and made available to journalists, he described Fintiri’s victory as a legal vindication that further strengthens the democracy of the country.

Yapak lauded the Supreme Court judgment that affirmed the victory of Adamu Umaru Fintiri as duly elected governor of Adamawa State.

He said that the decision of the Apex Court that upholds the election of Fintiri as the State governor has shown the whole world that court is the last hope of the common man.

“As members of the opposition party, we recognize the significance of a vibrant democracy,” he said.

“We stand ready to collaborate with you and contribute constructively to the betterment of our state. Our goal, like yours, is to create a conducive environment for growth, ensuring that the dividends of democracy reach every citizen irrespective of their political affiliations.

“Governor Adamu Umaru Fintiri has done a lot in our state, particularly in terms of infrastructural development like construction of roads, building and renovation of schools and other important development in the area.

“The Supreme Court has restored the reputation of the judiciary in the country for affirmation of the will of the masses putting aside the desires of anti-people politicians on the good people of Adamawa State who were out to destroy democracy

“We sincerely thank Supreme Court Judges for delivering a people centered judgment that affirmed the victory of Fintiri as duly elected governor of Adamawa State. We are optimistic about the decision of the Supreme Court and it’s our prayers that they should continue delivering justice to all Nigerians”

The former lawmaker also thank President Ahmed Bola Tinubu for his doggedness in not interfering in the governor’s cases and also allowing judges to give justice to those won their elections.

“This also shows that President Tinubu is a lover of democracy and not a dictator,”

Adding that the victory signifies not only a legal vindication but also reinforces the trust and confidence that the good people have placed in the administration of Governor Adamu Umaru Fintiri.

Yapak said that he is confident that Adamawa State will experience a second term of prosperity, stability, and progress leadership that will lead to inclusive governance, job creation in the State.
