Katsina State Allocates Land for Federal Government’s Renewed Hope City Project
From Abdulganiyu Gambo Katsina
The Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has officially approved the allocation of 25 hectares of land to the Federal Government for the construction of the Renewed Hope City Project in the state.
This was contained in a press release by Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, Chief Press Secretary to the Katsina State Governo
The official communication of this approval was conveyed to the Honorable Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Arc. Ahmed Musa Dangiwa, by the Commissioner of Lands and Surveys, Katsina State, Dr Faisal Kaita.
The meeting took place on Thursday at the Ministry’s Headquarters in Abuja, emphasizing the collaborative efforts between the state and federal authorities.
The Federal Government’s Renewed Hope City Project, unveiled in October last year, aims to construct vibrant housing communities across the nation, comprising approximately 1,000 Housing Units in each state and 4,000 Units in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). This initiative aligns with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, specifically addressing housing and urban development.
Following the project’s unveiling, the Ministry initiated the process by sending Land Allocation Requests to every state, seeking a minimum of 50 hectares (either collectively or 25 hectares separately) of land in close proximity to the State Capital. This strategic allocation is crucial for the successful realization of the Renewed Hope City Project.
This collaboration underscores the commitment of Katsina State to supporting national initiatives aimed at providing affordable housing solutions and contributing to the overall socio-economic development of Nigeria.
