Katsina Governor Makes Key Appointments for Effective Governance

Governor Dikko Umaru Radda of Karsina State has approved the appointments of key personnel to lead and manage crucial positions in the state.

This was contained in a press release by Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor Katsina State, made available to journalists in Katsina

According to the release, the move was to enhance the efficiency and functionality of various government agencies in the state.

“These appointments aim to foster development and improve service delivery across the state,” it stated.

The appointed individuals include Alhaji Badamasi Ya’u Yantumaki as Director General, Katsina State Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP), Alhaji Muhammad Lawal Matazu as General Manager, Katsina State Assets Management Agency

Other key appointments include Hon. Ibrahim Lawal Dankaba as the new Executive Director, Katsina State Small Town and Water Sanitation Agency, (STOWASSA), Dr. Mudassir Nasir Coordinator of Katsina State Social Investment Programme Agency, KTSIP.

Hajiya Karima Abdulkarim is appointed as the GEEP State Manager, Hajiya Zainab Abdulhadi, is the NHGSF State Manager, Alhaji Sanusi Muhammad Rafukka as Conditional Cash Transfer, CCT Manager and Alhaji Abdurahman Salihu Maska is the N-Power State Manager.

A former member of the House of Representatives, Abdulkadir Mamman Nasir, has also been appointed as the Managing Director, Katsina State irrigation Development Authority, Alhaji Mannir Ayuba Sullubawa as heading the Katsina State Erosion and Watershed Management Agency (KEWMA), Alhaji Mannir Ayuba Sullubawa as its Director General.

Also appointed are Prof. Sani Abubakar as Chairman Katsina State Board of Internal Revenue, (KSBIR) and Dr Kabir Abdullahi, Hon Murtala Mohammed, Alhaji Al-Mustapha, Bashir Rafindadi, and Alhaji Kabir Isa Fago as Executive Directors.

“Additionally, Dr. Tanimu Yakubu Kurfi, former Chief Economic Adviser to late President Umaru Musa Yar’adua, assumes the role of Board Chairman for Katsina State Development Management Board (KTDMB),”  the release said.

“The board comprises dedicated  and committed individuals, such as  Dr. Zainab Musa Saeed,  who is the Executive Director Social Development,  Dr. Kabir Tukur, Executive Director, Economic Development and Investment, Dr. Jamilu Usman, Executive Director, Infrastructure Development, and Hajiya Maryam Musa Yahaya, who will be in the Development Partners Department as its Executive Director.

“The 10 board members appointed by Governor Radda are Hajiya Fatimah Binta Bello Ismail,  Hajiya Habiba Suleiman, Dr. Zainab Usman, Nasir Yammama, Haroun Abba Gana, Dr. Kabir Yusuf, and Dr Zakari Lawal.

“Others are representatives of the Ministry of Budget Planning, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Justice.

“The Governor also appointed a top management and project consultant, Alhaji Salisu Mamman Kadandani, as Board Vice Chairman of the newly established Katsina Enterprise Board Development Agency (KASEDA).

“Governor Radda also approved the appointments of three Senior Special Assistants, (SSA) and a Special Assistant (SA) they are Alhaji  Yahaya Aliyu, as SSA Deputy Governor’s Office, Alhaji Aminu Maigoro Dutsin-ma, as SSA Party Liaison, Hon. Salisu Haruna Mashi, as SSA Political, Daura Zone and Alhaji Abubakar Gambo Danmusa, SA Public Enlightenment.

“All the appointments are with immediate effect.

“These appointments reflect the commitment of the Katsina State Government to strategic leadership and collaborative efforts in advancing the state’s development agenda.

“Governor Radda congratulated the new appointees and urged them to brace up for the task ahead.” It’s a government of the people, and we must all work for the people.”

“He enjoined them to be creative and initiate ideas that are in line with international best practices”
